See what your
retailer isn't telling you.
A free, independent comparison tool that puts your interests first.
Three big retailers. Twenty-two smaller ones. One tool that's actually on your side.
Three things we do differently
A comparison tool that earns the word “comparison”.
Works for owners, renters, and apartment dwellers — though we'll be honest about what we can do for each.
We compare every plan available to you.
Energy Made Easy doesn't model the free-midday plans landing this July. Most consumer aggregators only show retailers who pay them. We show every plan you're eligible for. Big three, tier two, regional retailers, all of them.
We tell you what your bill won't.
If your meter is on a tariff you didn't choose, we'll tell you. If your retailer is repackaging network costs in ways that hide what you're really paying, we'll tell you that too. And we'll tell you what you can do about it.
We model your whole home, not your trading portfolio.
Thinking about solar? An EV? A battery? Replacing gas hot water? We'll model the bill savings, the payback period, the rebates from government — and we'll pair it with the right plan for your new setup. We're built for people who want to do the right thing, not for energy market traders.
Here's an example
Most comparison tools won't show you this.
When we find something your retailer probably hasn't told you, we don't bury it. It goes at the top of your results.
You have the right to switch off your demand tariff.
Your meter is on a demand tariff that Ausgrid assigned automatically when your smart meter was installed. About 1 in 10 NSW customersare in this same spot — and most don't know.
Demand tariffs charge you based on your single highest 30-minute peak each month. The smart meter doesn't actually send you that information in real time, so you can't manage it effectively.

How we make money
Yes, this is free. Here's how.
We make money when businesses use the engine behind this site — DNSPs, governments, comparison aggregators, retailers building better tools for their customers, electrification companies, EV brands. They pay for the engine; consumers get the public site for free.
If you're a business and you'd like to use the engine, we'd love to hear from you →

The next chapter
Soon,
you won't have to come here at all.
We're building a version of this engine that your favourite AI assistant can use directly. Ask it “what's the best energy plan for my home”, and it can reach us without you ever opening a browser.
After that — switching agents that represent you, not the retailer. And when the cars in your driveway can power your house, we'll be ready to model that too.
Five minutes. Real answers.
Upload a bill, type in your postcode, or just tell us what you're paying.
