We don't store your bill. It's processed in memory and discarded after your session.
We don't sell your data. We're funded by enterprise API customers, not retailers.
We don't require an account. No email, no login, no tracking profile.
Analytics are privacy-respecting (no cookies, no cross-site tracking).
Who we are
energymadeeasier.au is operated by Accurassi Pty Ltd (ABN to be registered). We provide an independent energy comparison and electrification advisory service for Australian consumers. We are not a retailer, not a broker, and we do not receive commissions from energy retailers.
This policy applies to use of energymadeeasier.au and any associated services. It is consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What information we collect
Information you provide
When you use the comparison tool you may provide: your postcode, tenure type (owner/renter), housing type, current retailer, current plan name, and estimated annual usage. If you upload a bill, it is processed transiently to extract usage and rate information — it is not stored on our servers beyond your session.
Usage data
We collect anonymised, aggregated analytics (page views, feature usage) using a privacy-respecting analytics tool. This data contains no personal identifiers, no IP addresses, and no cross-site tracking cookies. It is used only to understand how the service is being used and to improve it.
Contact enquiries
If you contact us by email, we retain the correspondence for the purpose of responding and for a reasonable period afterwards. We do not add you to marketing lists.
What we don't collect
- Your name, address, or date of birth
- Your NMI (National Meter Identifier) or meter number
- Your account number or payment details
- Your full bill (it is never stored)
- Location data beyond your postcode
- Any information about your family members or household occupants
How we use information
- To provide plan comparison results and structural advisories
- To improve the accuracy of our data and comparison engine
- To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the service
- To respond to contact enquiries
We do not use your information to target advertising, and we do not share it with energy retailers, brokers, or third-party marketers.
Third parties
Vercel — our hosting provider. They process web request data as a necessary part of serving the site. See Vercel's privacy policy.
Analytics — we use a privacy-respecting analytics provider (no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal data). Aggregate data only.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any ad-network tracking.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you. Given that we do not store personal information beyond transient session data, there is typically nothing to access or delete.
To make a privacy enquiry or complaint, contact us at privacy@accurassi.com. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised date. We will not retroactively apply new data practices to information collected under earlier terms.
